# Plans & Billing

> See what each plan includes, how the 7-day free trial works, and which features need a subscription.

Context Repo starts with a 7-day free trial on the Pro or Pro Max plan, then continues on a paid plan (Pro, Pro Max, or Ultimate). The MCP server, REST API, and Chrome Extension are available throughout the trial and on every paid plan. ## The 7-Day Free Trial

Every account starts with a 7-day free trial on Pro or Pro Max. The trial includes every feature of the plan you pick, with 20% of its monthly allowances. The trial and every paid plan include:

- **Documents, prompts, and collections**: no cap on how many you keep. Create, read, update, and delete them through the MCP server and REST API.
- **All 29 hosted MCP tools** — the complete tool inventory for prompts, documents, collections, search, deep search, cited reasoning, and Company Knowledge compatibility; API-key calls remain limited by the scopes granted to the key
- **Chrome Extension**: save visible AI chats and selected page content with one click. Capturing a public page URL is included with Pro Max and Ultimate.
- **Version history** — every prompt and document edit is automatically versioned, with the ability to restore any previous version
- **75+ file formats** — upload and process PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, images with OCR, and more through the API

> **Note:** The trial gives you full access so you can evaluate Context Repo from Claude, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients before choosing a plan.

## Paid Plans

Context Repo offers three paid tiers: **Pro**, **Pro Max**, and **Ultimate**. All paid plans unlock full dashboard access, giving you a web-based interface for managing your workspace.

### What Paid Plans Add

Upgrading to any paid plan gives you access to:

- **Dashboard** — a full web interface for creating, editing, organizing, and searching your prompts, documents, and collections
- **Semantic search** — find content by meaning, not just keywords, through the dashboard search interface
- **Deep Search** — drill into document content with hierarchical chunk navigation and progressive disclosure

> **Warning:** Dashboard access requires an active subscription. If you don't have a paid plan, you'll be redirected to the [pricing page](https://contextrepo.com/pricing) when trying to access dashboard features.

## Plan Limits

| Scrape credits per month | Not included | 500     | 2,500    |
| Parse credits per month  | 1,000        | 2,000   | 10,000   |

Allowances cover Reason calls, scraping, and parsing. There is no cap on how
many prompts, documents, or collections you keep.
