Free Tier
You can start using Context Repo without a subscription. The free tier includes:
- Unlimited prompts — create, read, update, and delete prompts through the MCP server and REST API with no limits
- All 26 MCP tools — full access to every tool for prompts, documents, collections, search, and deep search
- Chrome Extension — capture web pages and save content to your workspace with one click
- Version history — every prompt and document edit is automatically versioned, with the ability to restore any previous version
- 75+ file formats — upload and process PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, images with OCR, and more through the API
The free tier gives you everything you need to manage prompts and documents from AI assistants like Claude, Cursor, VS Code, ChatGPT, and other MCP-compatible clients.
Paid Plans
Context Repo offers three paid tiers: Pro, Pro Max, and Ultimate. All paid plans unlock full dashboard access, giving you a web-based interface for managing your workspace.
What Paid Plans Add
Upgrading to any paid plan gives you access to:
- Dashboard — a full web interface for creating, editing, organizing, and searching your prompts, documents, and collections
- Semantic search — find content by meaning, not just keywords, through the dashboard search interface
- Text-to-Speech — listen to documents read aloud directly in the dashboard
- Deep Search — drill into document content with hierarchical chunk navigation and progressive disclosure
Dashboard access requires an active subscription. If you don't have a paid plan, you'll be redirected to the pricing page when trying to access dashboard features.
Collection Chat (Pro Max and Ultimate)
Collection Chat lets you have AI-powered conversations with your collection's contents. Select a collection, ask questions, and get answers grounded in your actual prompts and documents — with source citations so you can verify every response.
Collection Chat requires a Pro Max or Ultimate subscription. It isn't available on the Pro plan. Visit the pricing page for plan comparison details.
Managing Your Subscription
Context Repo uses Clerk for billing and subscription management. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from the pricing page.
