Setup

Turn on Developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. Your account or workspace policy decides whether it is available.

Open ChatGPT Plugins, select the plus button, and enter the values shown here. Confirm “I understand and want to continue” if ChatGPT asks.

Sign in
ChatGPT opens the Context Repo sign-in. Use the account you use on the dashboard, then ask for a prompt or a document.

Context Repo connects to ChatGPT as an app over OAuth. Add it from ChatGPT Plugins with the server URL https://contextrepo.com/mcp, sign in with your Context Repo account, and ChatGPT can call the same hosted MCP server that Claude, Cursor, and VS Code use.

No. The ChatGPT App signs in with OAuth. API keys are for setups such as the context-repo-mcp stdio bridge in Cursor or Claude Desktop. Both reach the same account, but an API key is limited to the scopes you grant it.
Start a new conversation with the Context Repo app. If the sign-in still doesn't open, clear ChatGPT's browser cache and try again, and make sure you sign in with the account you use on the dashboard.
ChatGPT can cache the tool schemas it saw when you connected. Refresh the Context Repo app in ChatGPT. If that doesn't help, remove the connection, add it again with https://contextrepo.com/mcp, sign in again, and start a new conversation.
